Some common cbiz abbreviations. This will save me time and yet @ same time tell folks what the babble is supposed to mean.

Daaaaaamn, today I wanted to start to play music and MPD complained! I thought WTF!!
But it was my fault, my music is on an external HDD and it was off.
Not sure, if that makes it for this thread.

I hope this "place" doesn't turn into the Ubuntu forums; we are a nice, friendly community here and I hope we stay that way.
YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WARNED!!!!!

I AGREE WITH BOBOBEX!!
It's not a matter of there being a few questionable/pointless/questionably-pointless threads of late, it's just the tone (particularly the anger) that's worrying. Not knocking this thread in particular, though. No offense aimed at you, saneks. I know you're ace most of the time.
It's just that these "rant threads" seldom end well. It'll start with people complaining about having to peel onions or the traffic congestion, or the occasional rogue/misbehaving app (like slim), but then you get the distro-bashing, grammar-policing, emo-rock mimicking, daring-fireballing, rick rolling, rick santoruming....etc
Silence is sometimes the best answer - Dalai Lama.
That doesn't quite work, sometimes or otherwise. Ever ridden a silent electric bike and have a rabid soccer-mom drive into you just because she couldn't hear your "silence" behind her children singing the Pokemon anthem? Problem is, if it's not that "sometimes" and you decide to go loud, she'll still drive into you, only in anger this time.
Loud pipes sometimes save lives, as long as it's a good kind of loudness. You just have to get the fuel-mixture right. Too rich and you're being obnoxious with all the spewing flames, too lean and you're just misfiring and might as well bang on metal trashcans while getting a vasectomy.
I hope this "place" doesn't turn into the Ubuntu forums
Neither do I. I don't dislike Ubuntu (I think it's great for the people that it's aimed at), but I have come to dislike their community forum. Most of the the nice/cool people have left, highly irresponsible moderation, corporate schilling (el_K knows what I'm talking about more than most), pointless discussions about the latest Final Fantasy game (which isn't really a game since you play for 6 minutes and spend the other 60 hours watching a CG B-movie), lawyers posing as human beings....etc.

Ok, my apologies for not being very subtle I'm glad however that it provided some healthy disucssion about what is great about this community. Have a great day all

did not want to offend anyone here. I just thought I needed to open this today - as a place on the forum where you can peacefully let it out and not take hard feelings into other topics - in no way intended to poison the friendly atmosphere here with anger and bad vibes..
Like a lot of weird threads that popped up here, also this one will eventually move down the recent topics and be forgotten until somebody digs it up - or not.
I think we all share some good humor and now when to stop and get back to serious business
After all we all are quite responsible with this forum.
however.. if you dont like this, just close or delete thread, I had my shout already and am fine now

Interesting thread. Only thing I have to scream about is gnome-keyring. but that's not a #! thing.
I had issues with Waldorf when I first installed it, not that it didn't install properly, it did. Not that it wasn't doing what it was supposed to do, it did. Some things changed and oops... I'm kinda set in my way so I had to change. Waldorf is like Statler was, which in turn, was like #! v9.04 was!
Reminds me of: The Touch of the Masters Hand.
