thanks, but they were also EASY which is the main thing

maybe i should vary the stone texture for each one
here is my bit of stone im using, and the icons ive made so far

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19008369/intera … ons.tar.gz

im just taking icons from here
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19008369/intera … ons.tar.gz

opening them in gimp to about 80x80 pixels
pasting them ontop of my 100x100 stone circle then decreasing the icon opacity to 50% and voila

Maybe this for the brass piece in the middle.?.

The icons you are working on really match and look good.

the buttons look great and look in place with the arch and the text but those silver scrolly bits dont really match up
might need some falldown original celtic metalwork inspired artwork big_smile

something like this in a semi circle outside of the arch
http://paulraspa.files.wordpress.com/20 … c-knot.png
and shiny
http://www.vtjewelry.com/images/sr-2321.jpg
but the same colors as the scroll buttons lol lol

is that a tall enough order?

Re: interactive conky

do you have the version with just the stone
im not sure about the metal inner bit, maybe a bit too busy

just goes to show that you shouldnt listen to me smile

ive been hacking at your beautiful artwork and rearranged some stuff
very rough, but i think this would look good

launcher0.jpg
with the brightening text glow which is really nice

but by no means feel under any obligation to make it like that!

im extremely appreciative of all the hard work you have put into these projects
your enthusiasm in the art department has given me enthusiasm to work on the scripts big_smile
even try some of the arty stuff for myself!

Re: interactive conky

Peachy it does look really good at the top.
I liked it better without the brass work in the middle lol
You are just wanting the stone with the Glowing text?
I can also invert the text for you.
I'm not sure if I will get to it today.. as for family stuff today.

I really enjoy working on these projects.
HaHa we still have a system monitor to do after this one. big_smile big_smile

Re: interactive conky

yes

the stonework definitely stays and the text appears and then glows brighter on startup

if you can change the text easily i think perhaps more smaller text would be good

maybe

"one conky to launch them all" in the elvish text big_smile

but if redoing the text is difficult, i like it the way it currently looks upside down

Here you go Peachy.. sorry it took so long. Had some "quality family time" yesterday.
The reversed-flipped-arc text didn't work out.
6d74e3180932564.jpg
"One Conky to Launch Them All" looks nice

Do you have a link for the icon theme above?

Re: interactive conky

ive just converted all the available icons to brass icons
screenshot952fd3f2eab35c2ab136e55288ca5375.png
do you know anything about making icon sets?
would be nice to install them systemwide

here they all are

i think i need to redo it though, and not add the _brass to the filename

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19008369/intera … ons.tar.gz
once its all be synched!

maybe a little on the large size, MB wise!

maybe do the same thing with a stone and wood texture

Peachy I think that you can take an existing icon set..Copy the whole folder and rename it. and swap out what you have created.
As long as the new icons share the same name as the ones that you replaced then it should all work.

Getting a 404 error on your dropbox link
EDIT: link is working now. big_smile

You are welcome.

Your button setup really sets the whole launcher off. Looks great.

Now to figure out what to do with the system monitor big_smile
