the new archive i just posted has the gray look launcher/panel combination
should have mentioned
you need these programs installed if not already there
BUT, discovered some strange behavior that i need to fix!
xprop
wmctrl

Yea, I have those, and the new 'conky_panel' works as advertised.
have to look at configuring it next.
Scheech, I'm a guy that can break anything and you ship me a broken package. For a sec there I thought I was batting 1000.

S11 I think being consistent is a good quality to have!
You don't give yourself enough credit!

You got scientific proof of that? {jokin'}
I mean here they talk a great talk about Consistent Quality - notice how they do NOT talk about the Consistent Quality of the FOOD they serve!
You don't give yourself enough credit!
Say what? Batting a 1000 is a perfect score and consistent too!

@ sector11 ...well... what can i say? oops?
but dont you hate it when you post something and then 5 minutes later fin out that the thing you posted needs to be unposted!
everything was working earlier... but i guess the script had just come out of a rather intensive re-writing prior to posting
i have to keep things interesting for those of you trying out my scripts!
@arclance
nice work

Oops! works for me, one of my most often used words.

Absolutely ... but I didn't think others did the same thing. Especially mrbean.

And I enjoy keeping you on your toes.

What part of "very nice" & "creative" didn't you understand?
Of course it was a compliment.
and the was to show the "I hate you!" was sarcasm!
As mrpeachy said: that is looking awesome!!!

@SR11, Peachy, falldown: Among teenage girls, "I hate you!" is a high compliment (although I'm sure they use it when sober too); it's a couple steps up from "Shut up!" Kinda like "You magnificent bastard!" among men of a certain age.
I had a girlfriend who insisted on watching things like Gilmore Girls and Sex and the City together. (Yes, that's a reasonable-sounding excuse for knowing this...)

I updated by deadbeef script here is what it looks like now.
I wrote a python script to decrease the number of calls to deadbeef which decreased cpu use, and improved the output formating of the nowplaying data.
I also used deadbeef's global hotkeys and 'xdotool key "keycombo"' to add more buttons.
You can download it by clicking on the image.

yes, i get that too... but it doesnt effect the running of the script
has something to do with the conky pid variables
... havnt gotten around to tracking the source down completely
Offline
ok, so fixed the proc 0 problem
but came across some other bugs (mainly editing oversights )
line 452
local window_space=900-window_tly-info_space
should be
local window_space=screen_height-window_tly-info_space
i put in a setting to set screen height in pixels but didnt actually use the variable in that line
also the setting for the window list header is still hard coded, 456
--draw intro title
buttondraw({x=window_tlx,y=window_tly-(window_title_height+(window_gap)),w=window_width,h=window_title_height,oc=window_outline_color_off,oa=1,ic=window_inside_color_off,ia=1,lw=1,d=3,r=5})
out({c=window_text_color_off,x=window_tlx+5,y=window_tly-10,txt="OPEN WIN"})
so need to make some more settings to control that
and ive tried the script out on my other puter (eeepc running gnome 2) and it behaves quite differently that on my main puter using cinnamon... stoopid window manager

The Fluxbox rightclick menu works on conkys running mrpeachy buttons!
I may just put a script with no buttons on my other conkys just because of this.

Peachy On the topic of my untitled windows.
I figured out that one window was a conky window..
and the other is my Tint2 panel.
Both are an easy fix.
Now I am in the process of dividing the two functions.. (Launcher and Window list)
Having them run in separate conkies.
Launcher running across the top as a panel
and the window list running across the bottom as a panel.
