[SOLVED] BAT1 subfolder in /sys/class/power_supply/ disappeared

Title says it all.  Last time I saw this working, I upgraded the following packages:

[UPGRADE] glest-data 3.6.0.2-1 -> 3.6.0.3-1
[UPGRADE] libapache2-mod-php5 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php-pear 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5-cli 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5-common 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5-curl 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5-dev 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5-gd 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5-mcrypt 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5-mysql 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1
[UPGRADE] php5-sqlite 5.3.9-6 -> 5.3.10-1

This honestly does not make any sense given the fact that I do reboot frequently and I didn't see this problem until today.  Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Chaanakya

EDIT: Somehow resolved itself after a reboot.
