Happy New Year to you all! Let's start off 2012 with a bang, so get posting your new wallpapers/conky's etc. Thank you all for making these monthly screenshot threads so popular during 2011; I hope that we can continue the good work throughout 2012.
Cheers
Becky

Please continue to use thumbnails (please try to avoid the large thumbnail imgur.com code) linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well. I've been using postimage.org lately which does a nice job.

^ Looks crystal clear to me. If you're using a VGA monitor, change the desktop color to white and run the monitor through its auto-align process (should be clearly labeled on the monitor's control panel or readily available in the monitor's pup-up menu). Desktop needs to be either white or at least fairly bright for monitor to detect picture boundaries. Also, make sure the VGA output matches the monitor's native resolution.

^In all my years I've never heard the term "soft-edge typography" O_o?.... Heck, a google search had this forum linked right on top. ... I'm assuming he's either asking about getting rid of blurry fonts, or wants pixel/bitmap fonts like the one in ivo's scrot.
@chameleon
Thanks for sharing that awesome wallpaper. =]
Edit:
Nothing's changed, so using a scrot from last month. I've become an old dude who can't keep up with the times.

I can not explain better but I had installed Ubuntu AAO. could then take the edge to the letters for some reason which improves performance. currently #!, I can not make the letters are monochromatic.

That is either gnome terminal or xfce terminal, (They have the same layout.) doesn't fool me. I've never liked the mac os x like interfaces, it always screams "Oh look I'm a apple fanboy who is still stuck using linux/windows, so I made my computer look like a mac until I can afford one."

Hello, I go by Plio most internet places now, if you are seeing this it means that you are seeing one of my elusive "older internet accounts" (ooh, how exciting) Yeah...
My Tumblr (it's kind of dumb. Expect lots of webcomics, videogames, and anime)

^ Yup, if it were MacOS there wouldn't be a menubar in the term window.
^^ Definitely something like Macbuntu.

@AwesomeFist, @pvsage: Yeah I know it doesn't look exact as it was a joke lol and AwesomeFist harsh words there! o.O I like the look of mac interfaces but I hate their philosophy so I thought I would mimic their interface on linux which I love =] also I needed a change from a tiling wm it has been a while since I used bloat software like GNOME lol
