On the downside, I had to disable Compositing because of video tearing, I have this problem only on Xfce, no solution at the moment for me.

Huh, learn something new every day. I just tested this using gxine and a DVD of the Star Trek movie reboot and it was noticeably smoother without compositing. The workaround would be to have a menu link for Window Manager Tweaks handy and disable compositing for video.

Nice scrot, and thanks!

@hhh: Thanks. And could you elobarate on the workaround. big_smile I saw something on the Arch forums but could not really apply it.

Edit: Regarding the tearing problem, I thought to open a new thread, to not go off topic here. So, people with workarounds, take a look here: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/post/132274/#p132274

Thank you for the font info and what a coincidence, I am from Spain but originally from Serbia. So, Ivanov is just a nickname, the Spanish guys connect me to Eastern Europe, that is the reason for the nick.

Re: July 2011 Screenshot Thread

Dev -- that is AWESOME!  I think Corenominal should make that the default wallpaper in the next version of CrunchBang.  BTW, it's my understanding that that version is going to be known as "Waldorf", right?  I think it's so cool how Corenominal decided to name each release after Muppets characters. LOL

Thank you, I'd be honored if that were to be done, but that's Corenominal's decision. smile

First shot I've posted in a while....

Arch Linux + WMII + Tamsyn font. I'm still trying to figure out the internet widget (i).  If anyone knows how to check for eth/wlan connectivity + signal, displaying either one or none, that information would be appreciated.

Oh I forgot this little detail last post I made, tint2's autohide height is the same size as Conky so to give it a panel, so maximized windows don't cover it.

First rather dull effort:

If I'd been able to put a graph background on Conky, I'd have made a proper 'Pip-Boy'-style display, but never mind...
