Hi all It's been awhile since I have been in the forums. Been busy and going thru a few personal battles. Anyway, I was sent a PM asking me to share the latest code for the last unfinished conky I was working on. I don't have much time,but I hope someone is able to finish it .  http://dl.dropbox.com/u/30953293/Conky.tar.gz

I am debating what direction I want to take this. I might go the easy route and {goto } and {voffset } but make it 2 separate conkys and lua. I think if I do that it will make it easier to do what I have planned.

#4 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » Conky v1.9 Thread » 2012-07-09 08:38:06

@S11, I just got done searching all kinds of conky sites and looked at uncountable config files. Every conky I find that has rings in it uses the conkyrc to show the info. Maybe it cannot be done, I don't know. I don't see why not. I will wait until mrpeachy see the post or I'll P.M. him later. Thanks for looking into that for me. Reference post # 2063

@ S11, you got that right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am confused about something. Surprise surprise. I need to put the outputs of Home, Ram ect in my rings. And I am not sure how the best way to do it. I could do it in conky with {goto  } and {voffset  } but that wouldn't be right. I know there is a way to do it in lua and that would be the right way to do it, but I can't figure it out. I have read thru the lua tutorial but It left me scratching my head.

I got my printer working. It was pretty simple. I wanted to re-install #! anyway. When I did the re-install I made sure that I had my printer turned on and like magic it worked. Thanks all

No. I still have not gotten it figured out. When I try a self print-test page I get    Cups Server error  There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'client-error-document-format-not-supported'. I don't know how to configure cups.

#11 Re: Help & Support (Crunchbang 11 "Waldorf") » [solved]Brother MFC 7820N printer » 2012-05-29 20:20:40

How do I get a log-in for cups set up? When I go to http://localhost:631/ It wants a log-in. Or could that be the same log-in as my router? I have to get ready for work right now.

I cannot seem to get my printer working. I found and installed the driver brmfc7820nlpr-2.0.1-1.i386.deb and cupswrapperMFC7820N-2.0.1-2.i386.deb. I installed them through the GDebi package installer. How do I configure the printer to work? Right now on the test page I get that I print it shows

ERROR NAME;
      configurationerror
COMMAND;
       setpagedevice
OPERAND STACK;
        --dicttype--

Thanks. Also , how would I get the scanner working?

@ sector11, It does the same thing either way. It has to be something in Gnome2. As it is now I can't put anything on the desktop at all. No links or icons. I figure it's because of it running on top of the default desktop. Have a good day. time for bed.

@ ackernan. All is well now. I tried Sector11 fix and it did not work.
@ Sector11, I read in one of your posts that Weather.com restarted it's weather feed again. Well, I am trying to get my weather working again. I tried setting up the basic install following this. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? … er+forcast I got a error cannot add repository. I want to use my original weather conky that I have for the weather.com but I need the install for the system files. I hope you follow me. I get a error in the command line

sh: conkyForecast: not found

Do I follow TeoBigusGeekus download for conky companion and use my weather conky? Or is there a easier way if you have your own weather conky? thanks
