I will do some testing on this on another debian distro. I am the maintainer for wattOS linux. and the next version is being built on Jessie which I am actively testing with the live build scripts and installers for debian now. So this is timely and I have used remastersys in the past quite a bit and have talked to Tony (the remastersys creator) directly in the past.
I will let you know how it goes
I am biased since I am the distro maintainer for wattOS, but give R7 a spin - the new version came out a week ago. Its ubuntu 13.04 based and there is 32, 64bit flavors and a new "microwatt" edition thats about 450MB that runs pekwm instead of LXDE if your interested in trying something new.
Greetings all -
I am the admin and creator of wattOS - which is a lightweight distro based on openbox and LXDE. Been around for about 1.5 years and know a few people here in the forums (hi iggykoopa), and we are listed on Distrowatch.
This morning my website was hacked and a c99madshell script was installed. I just wanted to spread the news so if anyone goes to the site and wonders why its down. The distro is alive and well, I was releasing a new version actually next week. I am still assessing the damage, but it appears I will be nuking the entire site and starting over - so I have taken it offline and removed all files for now. I will probably get a banner placeholder up later today.
