I'm former user of Mint too. My reason for using #! is the simplicity and of course because of the "tweak it yourself" method. If for example in Mint you are trying to uninstall some built-in program - the whole DE will scream! But in #! you have a big freedom in doing what you are doing.
Have a nice stay and welcome!
Hello and greetings from Bulgaria!
I will be on a trip to Solun at 2nd of May.
Welcome and stay.
But anyway Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon (the best looking) takes about 200-250 MB RAM. Looks like you had used the KDE edition.
So would you consider this solved or is there more to your question?
First I would like to know where is the problem. I think the Waldorf Translations are the problem. I can skip them if this is not so important. And if this is the case - then the problem is solved.

Thank you very much, my friend!
apt-get autoremove ?
Sounds good but I must type only this or something like apt-get autoremove midori-packages?
PS: Sorry, I'm not very terminal guy.
A little more info would be nice. I assume you are using Synaptic. so you clicked on 'reload' then 'mark all updates' then 'apply' and that is when you got that message?
Yes, I was using Synaptic, all packages were downloaded and then this message appeared.
I was always asking myself "Will every dependant package be deleted when some program is uninstalled?"
In my case with Midori - NO! Midori installs 2 packages except the main. I uninstalled it but only the main package was deleted. The other 2 are...where are they? How I can delete everything left from a program?
Thanks in advance.
Some of the packages could not be retrieved from the server(s).
Do you want to continue, ignoring these packages?
Well, what to do now?
Hi guys, I'm searching for a light web browser which must have AdBlock plugin support. My best bet for now seems to be Midori.
Can you recommend me any other?
Thanks in advance.
Just wait and try again. Some repo could have been down at the time you tried it.
Yes, the error was telling me something like this. But this is not the first time in which I see it.
Not a problem for me. Maybe...something like 20 KiB and 100x100 pixels will be good but it is not a real pain.
The idea about post-install scripts for programs not included by default and small iso sounds cool. We will have easy to use, simple and very configurable system after the install.
When I changed the Debian repo's in my Virtual Box machine from "stable" to "testing" after reloading Synaptic and trying to upgrade the system (again with Synaptic) some files can't be downloaded because of repo error's. On the other hand if I change to "unstable" or "sid" everything is fine. But upgrading from stable to unstable seems to be a big jump. I would prefer testing that's why I'm writing about this error's.
rahmu wrote:Looks really nice.
Too small for my display. Can you present it in several resolutions?
It has a plain background by the look of it, so it would be a trivial task in GIMP to crop out the logo area and paste it into the image size you want
It is! This wallpaper is maded for 1366x768 laptop display. Making it smaller/larger is very simple and you have the right to do so, even you can modify it if you want.
Thanks for the nice words and have happy # Banging!
Thanks guys, glad you like it.
I guess what kills you is the 150 updates a new install pulls in. ]:D
Not a big problem indeed.
The forum is a fun place as always but watching the latest news from the site (May 6th 2013) makes me sad impression. Why #! is so silent? Like Debian do for example the #! iso's can be upgraded from time to time, I don't know but really this silence kills me (or other users like me).
I know how to add it, thanks for answering my question also.
Does there exists automated process to add new menu entry when for example you had installed new program or you must always do it yourself?
Thanks in advance and sorry if the forum is wrong but my question can't fit well in stable/unstable help & support.
Nice to hear that.
The whole idea about CB on single CD sounds great!
Except the well known 32 bit - 64 bit versions which are present now, I'm thinking about 2 versions with this difference:
1. Version based on the stable Debian branch.
2. Version based on the testing/unstable Debian branch.
This can be achieved now but I think that having 2 versions is more safer instead of switching the repos.
