Thanks alot Philip for your effort and time on this project.........................Well done Debian..........    Magnificent release.............. Best community project ever.

#3 Re: Devel: CrunchBang 11 "Waldorf" » Non-pae kernel option? » 2012-06-19 16:17:22

Let us clear some stuff. Debian will not drop support for non-pae kernels for the mid to long future. Debian always conservative about dropping support for deprecated or old hardware. But Debian moved non-pae kernel to the I486 kernel. Also support for the Intel Pentium Processor also moved to the i486 architecture. I know that because I also have an Intel Pentium Laptop and couldn't run Woldorf cause it's missing pae component(according to the error message at boot).

#5 Re: News & Announcements » Waldorf development images ready for testing » 2012-05-21 20:26:32

is this edition only for pae kernel? I tried to live boot with the fb=false at grub, and a message says that this kernel deos not support my hardware as it is missing one component: pae.

#10 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » cpufrequtils » 2011-04-11 20:25:04

+1 for having cpufrequtils by default. The first thing I do after a fresh statler install is installing cpufrequtils, otherwise my laptop fans will be spinning like hell all day.

#14 Re: News & Announcements » Reversions » 2011-01-26 10:06:26

While I don't use chrome or chromium, IMHO choosing chromium over google chrome is the right way(good for you man).
How about a lite edition...:D

Thanks alot and keep the good work

#24 Re: Help & Support (Crunchbang 11 "Waldorf") » [solved]Wired connection not working with liquorix kernel » 2011-01-03 14:38:02

The problem is solved. It should be 3 modules loaded, not two. one is missing ( the 8139cp module). Thanks a lot Awebb for your response and help.
