Thank you Phillip for a distro that I have simply loved to use over the years. All the best to you in your future endeavors. Change is an inevitable part of life and frequently brings wonderful things.
m1rr0r5h4d35,

Wow, just realized, your 'nick is an incredible password

Yo matcharles...guess you feel a bit welcome by now
Just came off contract from a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. Moved to the new LG G3.
Very nice so far.
Welcome Doyan.
A bit long winded yes, but welcomed. Enjoy your stay at #!...a sweet spot in the linux landscape
A hearty welcome Britta!
#! is not particulary flashy but totally comfy

Welcome to (imho) the coolest distro spin today
vlc for videos....banshee atm for tunes.
Hey LinuxMan249...#! really is a cool place to land.
Hey dj122...welcome to #!.
It's not the only distro I use, but probably the most dependable...not to mention the great community!

Jeff turns 70 on 6/24/14...incredible.
Advanced - Slackware
Intermediate - #! and/or VSIDO
Beginner - Ubuntu
monkeytoes (cool nick ), enjoy the way smooth #! distro!
Welcome DaveOxford...enjoy your stay.
As stated, Arch was not that hard to install, but you really have to pre-read the Beginners Guide and follow it closely. I did it with no problem. Ran Arch for a short while but that was it. Just wanted to see if I could do it.
But Gentoo...I draw'the line there
^
Best of luck. I've tried it a couple of times and realized " I cannot do this!". This coming from a guy who uses Slackware regularly and has instaled Arch on more than one occasion
As with parties above, I do dabble in other distro-lands just to see what is out there.
However, I always seem to come back to rock solid quality right here
Hey banger2014!
Welcome back to Linux "simplicity" - #!
I continue to use it because it is awsome:
Debian Stable tweaked by corenominal
Stable...stable...stable
Amazing amount of packages in Debian repo
Openbox - lean & mean
What else could I want
Hi jack66a....welcome to the neighborhood
As the famous (I refer to it as "pain in the ass") statement goes "tide and time wait for no man". I"m "honorary/59" here but relate well.
Seems like yesterday I was a sleek lean & mean specimen. Mentaly I do envision myself as about 30-ish which is a good thing. I try not to take life too seriously, which I feel is key to my general well being at present.
Welcome Endless_Nameless.
#! is a distro that will stay out of your way while giving you full functionality and stability. We're always here to
assist
Hi jdonaghy.
While I do dabble in the exciting "never know what will happen" sid side of Debian (most times without problem) my comfy zone is
without doubt #!.
Enjoy!
^
Yup, pae is the way to go. While you don't need it for memory, it does indeed benefit your cpu.
Happy @!-ing
