changed python path to #!/usr/bin/env python2 and allowed dir configuration
Working on the tabbing issue, I may have to rebuild the ui, recovering from surgery so Im not fast.
Thank you again for all your input

You guys are awesome. Thank you. I have never published anything before, so I'm new at this.
as far as the fuse add, I don't know if this is going to be a deal breaker or not, maby just better dodocumentation.
as for the tab issue, I'm looking into it, tatab doesent work for me at all, drives me crazy. It has to be a wx thing.
On the MOUNT direcdirectories I plan on making them configurable as well.

#7 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » sshfs utility | sssshh! » 2014-10-13 03:31:57

Just realized an error I will fix soon.
Make sure you cd to the directory with the python files or this will create the directories in wherever you are. Working on it now

Just something I wrote for myself at work, I figured I would share it here.
you will need wx-python and sshfs installed
Configure presets with config.py
cd to directory containing files and run

python sssshhh.py

This is still in progress and I am making it more user friendly everyday. I need to figure out how to include wx with it so people dont need to install it.

Enjoy, makes file transfers MUCH faster than sftp in a file manager.
if you cant unmount it just

sudo umount MOUNT/presetname

Here you go

Are each of your programs open on a different workspaces?

I think you need multi desktop on taskbar.  Not single

BTW hackish or not I love the mix of {} and %s never thought of that....
Got it working thanks to you!!  wx is giving me grief in its own right I may switch to tk

Thanks again!

Thank you so much, I will give this a go in a few hours. Its close to what I had but not quite. As far as attacks this is internal only but if I get the full thing working safely  I plan to release it gnu style for anyone, as the part I failed to mention is the variables are defined by wxpython so it may be useful for some who want simple querys.
Thank you again, python is my side by side obsession with Linux. This is better than the 70 plus Google pages I've looked thru. Thanks again

No place is more helpful

I have been using mysqldb to connect to mysql with python.
No problem, I need a little program that queries one table and goes like
SELECT * FROM CUSTOMER WHERE VAR1 LIKE VAR2

Now if I use %s and set VAR1  as the variable it works but for the life of me I cannot get both variables to work.
How would one do this. I have defined the variables in the function itself and like I said one works but the other screws it up.

Any hints would be awesome. I need both variables
10 hours and I'm going mad lol

SSH SFTP
MOBASSH and MOBAXTERM
Mobassh is great to have a ssh server on your win rig
mobaxterm is a good ssh terminal emulator/other monster.... try localhost as a host for a local shell wink

I dislike windows, but I have to work on them when people treat them like garbage....so let me think on it more wink

#19 Re: Help & Support (Testing/Unstable) » Brand new notebook » 2013-10-27 06:49:19

About ubuntu, they don't use Debian stable as a base, the only thing they have over Debian IMHO is wifi support is much better.

About the right click to left click thing THANK YOU!!!! Awesome I should have known to look into the menu config.

#20 Re: Help & Support (Testing/Unstable) » Brand new notebook » 2013-10-27 05:50:02

Thanks again guys, I went ahead and jumped to Jessie, perfect combo of everything. I also put mate 1.6 on as well, and just use openbox or mate whichever I feel like that day smile. It's funny too that I've had mate on may distros, but crunchbang seems to fit it perfectly, even though its not the intended de.
The only flaw I see with my new touchscreen laptop in openbox is right click, no way to do that with touch, but seriously touch is a gimmick, it's cool and all, but I hardly use it.
So to sum up Jessie holds all software on the newer amd 8000 series cards, but I am running open source drivers. Works great.!!!!
Thanks again

Thank you very much both of you, anxious to see how my favorite distro handles WiFi lol......
Agnain thank you

Got it soecifically to do contract work and I realized its too damn new! What version of Debian do I need to bump up #! To to get it working right.
I know lets say Waldorf, mint 15 and suse 12.3 all fail in the graphics department. It's an ati 8000 series.
The new ubuntu works, it has kernel 3.10 or 3.11 I think. Pretty sure that is what I need.

I'm also sure it's purely a graphics thing as all other parts of the system work fine.

It's an acer aspire v5 quad core amd a10 8 gig ram Lil monster but I was hoping Jessie or Sid had a way to get the latest kernel easy? Just curious

#23 Re: Off Topic / General Chat » Suggestions on improving my web site » 2013-09-26 00:57:09

I have not taken a look at pricing I assumed it would be more than "traditional" hosting. My fault for assuming.

#24 Re: Off Topic / General Chat » Suggestions on improving my web site » 2013-09-26 00:39:15

I think its great..... Love the minimal, although look at the croud here. I would say you need a logo or logotype that sits in the banner, kinda looks missing.

off topic, I always wondered this, why would you use a cms?
Between Aptana Studio, crunchbang, sftp and the centos server I put it all to, I don't see the point. With ssh you can configure the server however you want, and install apache php mysql whatever you want and the content is on you. Maby Im missing something.
As a matter of fact I am intrigued by the host that host these forums, seems like a great deal.

Anyway I like the site alot, maby center the navigation, but Its good. Mine is down for a few more weeks, but Ill post it when I get the new version up.

#25 Re: Off Topic / General Chat » (SOLVED)maby you guys can help...php question » 2013-09-24 18:17:06
