Hello!  Bummer about the melted laptop
ill look forward to your return to the world of conky/lua weather soon!

I will try and get a new laptop soon.. I used my laptop as a media center so I am sure that I overworked my dated computer.

Was it an HP?

No it was a Sony Vaio.

Well gentlemen.. My laptop (baby) crapped out on me about a week ago. I have been really frustrated about it.
The integrated nvidia card overheated and partially melted. I have had it for 6 years.
I have my ipad (which I wish I had never purchased).
Kinda bummed that I won't be able to get a new laptop for awhile.  I will be back helping at some point.

You can walk through the setup when I get these done.   wink

Seems that I have missed a lot!

Nice work on CPS S11!! The wun section is very  cool

Peachy a quick question..
Would it be a waste of time to make a day/night icon for each condition.. or just go ahead and use the settings that you have in the wun.lua?

#6 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » Wun Weather Script for Conky (Lua) » 2014-01-25 02:10:56

This one is going to take some time to finish, but I think it will be worth it..

@Sector11... I think interactive templates are, by their nature, going to be hard to tweak and edit.  I can say, with the greatest respect of falldowns work, that his template code is not optimal  big_smile in that I could think of a few ways to make things simpler.  But that's only because I'm more familiar with the ins and outs of the code.

Peachy You did clean up the template which makes it run smoother.  big_smile

Working on a new bg that fits my template..

and
Screenshot_from_2014_01_22_19_26_59.jpg
It needs more work. It looks good on a solid color background, but not so much on anything else.

I also have another ideal for a bg, but I will have to play around with that one tomorrow.   smile

#15 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » Wun Weather Script for Conky (Lua) » 2014-01-22 00:08:18

I like the day and night button in the text window.
I will rework the chance of icons.. Other then that I noticed that I had labeled a few icons wrong.

#16 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » Wun Weather Script for Conky (Lua) » 2014-01-21 23:17:52

Peachy I have some icons that I want to rework. Hopefully not very many.
I also noticed that I numbered some of the icons wrong. I need to go through these and sort them out.

Actually switching up size and location helps out with the icons..

x=100,y=0,h=355,w=355

Thats really strange Peachy about the text wrap data.. I am only getting 3 lines of text at most. I was worried that I didn't allow enough room for more text. I do have a solution, I will add a day/night button.. allowing only one to be displayed at a time.   big_smile

And perhaps the now.observation_time should be placed at the bottom of the main display window

#20 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » Wun Weather Script for Conky (Lua) » 2014-01-21 20:11:18

I think I might make an all lua template.. although I tend to tailspin out of control when I start using Peachy's draw script.

#21 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » Wun Weather Script for Conky (Lua) » 2014-01-18 22:54:46

A little progress today..
current button on..

I am about 50% done with the weathericons.

Beautiful work S11!!

#22 Re: Tips, Tricks & Scripts » Wun Weather Script for Conky (Lua) » 2014-01-17 17:34:15

Peachy Hmmmm.. bargraph.lua.. I have about 6 interactive conkys with that lovely script. I will have to break those out when I have time. I don't think that you have seen them all.   big_smile

S11.. A broom... if you would be so lucky!    smile

Also S11 if you are looking to add an easy editable path within your
weather.lua
iweather.lua
you can do something like this..

--PATH TO FILE #############################################
ptf="/home/username/path/to/file
--#########################################################

and use it like so

image({x=10,y=10,w=10,h=10,file=ptf})

This is very useful if you use this location several times.

Looks good Joe!

S11 that template is chalked full of everything.. kinda like a wun smorgasbord!    smile

Peachy and All sorry that this template is taking so long. I will have it ready for y’all soon, but please by no means hold me to that statement.    big_smile

red or blue. I will make it so that switching between the two will be a one liner.

Now to sort (clean up) out the script and finish the icons.   smile
