You may want to try installing the Liquorix kernel using the smxi script. The current Liquorix kernel is 3.7.xx and may be of help with your hardware. Vast One wrote a how to here: http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=22740
I have found a slight performance increase using their kernel on a Acer AO-756
Hope this helps
Thanks Tinman, using it now and looks great. Looking forward to you CB-Dark-Grey theme
Thanks for links. I have been looking for something like this. Can never read to much!
I have the 1000h and wireless worked out of the box.
Not sure if SpiderOak has been discussed in the past, but I just stumbled across it in the web as another free (up to 2 GB) online backup similar to dropbox. I just installed it on my netbook and does not seem to use much system resources.
Anyone else using it?
2.6.28-18.59 is the kernel we should use. How?
Open a terminal and use "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade"
This command will update your kernel
Hope this helps
I did not do anything in particular, here is the color part of my conkyrc

Hello everyone,
I personally like openbox over xfce, however my wife would prefer to use xfce. She finds the menu's easier to use etc...
My question is, what xfce packages should I install that would not make changes my login and sets up in ob? Any packages I should avoid? I want to make things easier for my wife but at the same time keep everything on my end to look and feel the same.
Once in the past I installed KDE with Gnome and the KDE made several changes to my Gnome setup, which I what I am trying to avoid.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Happy New Year fellow Crunchbanger's from Florida
Merry Christmas everyone
My first distro was Redhat 5.2 back in 98. Tried several over the years before landing here with Crunchbang#!
