[solved] Temperature Problem

Hi there,

After a few weeks now with my first linux, i am encoutering a rather seroius problem. My laptop, a dell latitude d420, doesn't fan really and gets really warm/hot. Currently my conky statets that ${acpitemp} is around 67°C and i remeber that when it reaches around 75°C it will auto shutdown.

Is there a way to config my fans? I may post some output of all the relevant sensors, as long you tell me how to do it wink

Re: [solved] Temperature Problem

i have a dell latitude d420 so i installed the i8k package from the reps which can output the temperature and the state of all the fans.
I use this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p= … tcount=128 to configure the deamon which now controls my fan.
