I noticed that the packages pppoe and pppoeconf are not installed by default to set my internet connection ADSL ethernet modem. How do I connect internet with the live cd?
Many thanks to those who want to answer.
Greetings

thanks a lot, it-s just a bit strange to not include them in the live/installation set

Yep, and you'll have to get its dependencies as well as the dependencies of its dependencies.
If someone could open Synaptic in a fresh Crunchbang, mark pppoeconf for installation and check which packages it needs it would help you (I use regular Squeeze).
Also make sure to ask corenominal (#! main developer) to add that package to the next version.

You can have a look there, in Debian Squeeze Packages Search; all dependencies needed by a package are always listed:
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/pppoe
(And Debian Packages Search can be added as a search engine in your browser, if you often use it).

the only dependency needed is modconf
-pppoe
-pppoeconf
-modconf

I forgot: if you have network-manager there then you shouldn't need pppoeconf. Just configure an (A)DSL connection with your username (full: username@host.com) and password, click 'Apply' and you should be good to go.
