Hi guys
I updated from alpha 1 to 2 (apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade) - now I have kernel 2.6.32-5-686 . Now X is crashing shortly after booting up. Sometimes I get to the desktop, sometimes the screen goes blank just after starting gwm. Sometimes, when it crashed from the desktop, the monitor shows a "Out of Range" message - H:31.9 Khz V: 39.6 Hz. Its an older VGA CRT monitor with a [Radeon Mobility 9200 (AGP)] video card. Oddly, if I boot into the last kernel, 2.6.32-3-686, everything works (I'm there now). I've seen on the forums that there are some problems with 2.6.32-5. Should I just keep using -3 for the moment, or is there a fix / work around?
Thanks,
Sam
