I have a crappy Intel Family Chipset graphics card. Windows 7 easily lets me configure my two monitor set-up but any Linux distro I've tried doesn't work well with it.

Do you mean to say you would use Crunchbang again? Confused... o.O But hey, you sure it doesn't work? I bet some of the geniuses in this forum can get it working.

Which chipset? The Callistoga chipset in my netbook doesn't work very well with any of the GUI display setup apps, but I can easily configure it from the command line with xrandr.
