Iceweasel (Firefox) crash on one particular site.[solved]

I have been trying to access: http://warwicksport.warwick.ac.uk/clubs/

When I access this site, it loads for about 6 or 7 seconds, then jams my computer. The screen is still active, but the mouse is extremely jumpy when it is moved, and the clock stops. All software is completely unresponsive and a hard reboot is necessary.

I tried the website using the LiveCD and the problem occurred identically there. I have tried updating to the most recent software from the repositories, but the problem persists. I have also installed the "NoScript" add-on, but this has not helped. I also tried to get some information from the terminal, bylaunching iceweasel from a terminal, but nothing came up when it crashed.

I have also run iceweasel in safemode, but the crash still happens and there is not output in the terminal.

I can view the page using epiphany, and it does not crash.

Re: Iceweasel (Firefox) crash on one particular site.[solved]

I seem to have discovered the problem. I disabled images in Iceweasel and the website worked again.  It would seem to be the fault of a 2.7MB (2000x3008 pixels) photo, and a 1.3MB (9000x2550 pixels) photo which are being scaled down by the web browser.

That is one poor way to have a website display images.  Did you contact them and ask why they did not resize the images?

Yeah, I sent them an email and they replied saying that it will be sorted soon. I just hadn't had chance to get to my computer to reply here.
