Fonts are really tiny

For some reason,  the fonts on my CB 8.10 Lite install are really tiny. The right click menu, the menu bars on Firefox, and the taskbar fonts are all really small. Is there a setting somewhere to adjust this? Thanks.

Right Click Menu >> Preferences >> User Interface Settings
For all of you customization needs (well, some of them at least wink)

Re: Fonts are really tiny

Thanks, I was able to adjust them. The fonts in the Terminal are still small though. How do I adjust that? Also, is there a way to change the font in the terminal?

Re: Fonts are really tiny

If your using Terminator as your terminal (which I think is there by default) open this file in gedit:

 gedit ~/.config/Terminator/config

and add/edit the line that says "font=" to whatever font and font size you want to use (ex. Mono 12)

Hoped that helped smile

Re: Fonts are really tiny

Don't think the command is quite right. Say's it "Could not find the file /home/jacatone/.config/Terminator/conf"

Oh, heheh.

Guess that's a sign that I should get some sleep wink

Re: Fonts are really tiny

I think I may have the same problem, however the fonts on my right click menu are so small that they can not be read.  So I am unable to see where the
>> Preferences >> User Interface Settings  is.  sad  Is there a way to fix this through the console?  Thanks.

Re: Fonts are really tiny

The fonts in your Openbox menu are controlled by the rc.xml file. Open the menu and go to Preferences > Openbox Config > Edit rc.xml

The area you need to edit is near the top. Just search for "font" if you need help finding it.

Re: Fonts are really tiny

Thanks for that. I can see my menu options now,  I had to increase the size to 18 to read it. However all other text is unreadable.
For instance, when I enter my user name I can see something is there, but it not readable. The same goes for the text in the tool-bars  and menus of applications, the text in the terminals. I can however view Web-sites fine in Firefox, just can't read the tool-bar, menus and dialog boxs.
Could this be an XOrg config thing?  Thanks.

Re: Fonts are really tiny

Text in toolbars and menus is controlled by LXAppearance (Preferences > User Interface Settings). If you already changed it, I dont know what else to recommend.

Re: Fonts are really tiny

got this problem too....

i have set up a "live-usb-stick with persistence", bootet usb from my pc (x38 mainboard, gtx280) just fine, res 1680x1050.... then i went to a friend of mine, he has just built a htpc (asus p5q-vm with built in hdmi) for his sony 46" HD-TV...... we wanted to boot from usb...which it did after some hassle, BUT the fonts are so tiny that you cant do anything on the 46" HD-TV.... the strange thing, when i boot #! at home on my x38 board and my samsung 226BW @1680x1050 it works fine and i can read all the text...... weird hmm
