Hi all,
Don't know if this is necessarily a "help & support" issue but I've been looking around and haven't seen much info on this topic.
apt-get update hangs on
99% [waiting for headers]
when I have the google repositories enabled (in order to update google chrome). The URI is
deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable main
I found this launchpad entry about it, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/528925, which indicates that google is aware of the problem and will be addressing it soon but I can't find the chromium blog post referenced on launchpad. Does anyone here have more information on this? Also, has anyone tried the new developer release of chrome in crunchbang? It's supposed to have built in flash support that's better than the usual mozilla plug-in...
Thanks,
Devin
---- Edit ----
Maybe a workaround here would be to use Iron? Does anyone know if they keep up to date with the latest chrome releases?

Have you considered using Chromium instead?

Hadn't looked into it, no. Thanks!
I'm a little confused as to what chromium actually is though. What's the difference between chromium and chrome?
Spoke too soon...
