Blender + EEE 1000H = Artifacts [SOLVED]

If I try to use Blender on my #! 9.04 running on my EEE 1000H I get strange artifacts / ghosting on the top and bottom of the 3D view.

I have no idea how to fix this, and Google hasn't turned up any useful results.

Can anybody help?!

Below is a screenshot explaining my problem.

I'm guessing it's got to do with the video driver, but I'm not sure where to go or what to do.

Re: Blender + EEE 1000H = Artifacts [SOLVED]

Are you using the latest version of Blender (2.49b)?

Maybe try using Ubuntu 9.10?

Re: Blender + EEE 1000H = Artifacts [SOLVED]

Im using the version that's in the repo, which is 2.48

I'll give 2.49b a try.

and I'm waiting till the end of the month to grab 9.10 - I'm surviving on a mere 3GB per month of bandwidth.

Re: Blender + EEE 1000H = Artifacts [SOLVED]

I've tried that guide previously without any success on my EeePC 1000HE(B)... I've had much better results from This thread using the 2.6.30 (not the 2.6.31) kernel.
