Has anyone tried it lately or is using it?i wanted to knw abt it.

I played with the XPud LiveCD in VBox and it seems like it would work great it you ran an internet cafe or something like that. Day to day desktop based use I found it to be lacking alot.

Yea but at second look I guess if you weren't a very big time computer user like let say my grandma it would work great as a net book os.

Nope! Grandma wouldn't know how to install/activate the network-drivers to access the WWW.

True but then again that can be said of most OS's, all of them have to have some config work done from time to time.

I have tried it a few months ago. If you just want to surf the internet, it is all right. Not many other functions, actually
I couldn't connect aDSL on it, when I clicked on the config and wanted to set up the network device, it didn't do anything. But yeah, it booted up in a few seconds.
Put it on a USB stick (unet-bootin) and have a try...

Hey thank u all!!! I got my answer.i actually thought evn xpud follows the minimalist approach of #! Bt its nt exactly meant fr desktop use.. U guys rock!!!
