Adding additional wallpaper

Forgive the simplicity of this question. Can someone please instruct me how to add additional wallpapers to CrunchBang? I go to put images in images/wallpapers/shared/backgrounds and am not permitted. I appreciate any and all help. Thank you.

Re: Adding additional wallpaper

Simply copy or move the image to /home/norskdane/images/wallpapers

You don't need to put it in shared unless you want the wallpaper available for all users. You would need "superuser" access to put it in shared, for example 'gksu pcmanfm' will give you a superuser (root) file manager where you can (carefully!) move files to any folder.

Re: Adding additional wallpaper

Okay. Thank you. I have done that, now what? If I go to "Choose wallpaper" the new image does not appear as an available wallpaper.

Re: Adding additional wallpaper

I was able to change the wallpaper via Terminal and the command line for Nitrogen, but not if I choose to "Choose wallpaper" via the menu item.

Re: Adding additional wallpaper

Well, selecting "choose wallpaper" via the menu should open Nitrogen, same as doing it from the command line. You can use obmenu (under openbox preferences) to verify whether or not this is true.
