Hey all , i need a lightweight ftp with gui which will be able to connect to a server with authTLS. gFTP was not successful on that , and a friend recommended crossftp which is java based and is far from light and fast.Any recommendations will be useful

On receiving an interrupt, decrement the counter to zero

have you tried fireftp? I don't use ftp much but it's pretty highly recommended and I belive it will do everything you want. I'm not sure how light it is, but it integrates with firefox, so I can't see it being to much in addition.
I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may.

Maybe try FileZilla?

I use fireftp with firefox. I have never had a problem with using it but I don't know whether it will do the things you need.

curlftpfs has options for TLS. It's a command line app, but you can use it to mount the remote FTP server as a local folder.
That way you can let your desktop file manager be the GUI. And if you're editing files on the remote server, you don't need to download a local copy to work on, then keep uploading it each time you make a change. You can just open it in any editor you like and work on it as if it was a local file.
