CBL totally pwnz !!!

...and so do you ! greetings fom good old Germany big_smile
(excuse my english)

THX for !# to all of you !!

Well, owning noobs in windows is much easier then in Linux but you know 'if one wants to truely pwn ...'. I really got into Linux when I managed to get Warcraft III to work properly about 4 years ago. Nevertheless I had to switch back because of sound and other games and the smoothness in games in general.

I have grown up since then (not very much) and now its even fun for me to digg in config files (?!?!).

One of my first linux expirience was the almighty vi. The first installation (it was SUSE) went fine but then google said "to get your windows partition mounted u have to edit /etc/fstab with vi". I tried but no luck ...(due to the lack of micro). But I found the vi really interesting, doing the most with the keyboard is what an rts gamer likes.
So I learned vi and more and now I migrated my family from Win to CBL and I use it at university (TeXing the whole math class with vim-latexsuite is so much fun).

I also like the opensource phliosophy 'n'stuff and I think it will change (or has already changed) a lot to the good in the world.

I'd like to give something back to the Project. How can a newbie like me contribute the best?

again, thank you for the great work you did with CBL.

Welcome to the #! community.  I like vim as well although I only use the insert function of it and nothing else lol

On the home page, theres a button to make a donation so if you want, you can donate some money to help the development of #!.... You can also help other people by answering their questions in the help and support area of the forums...  If you can program, you can also write applications for #! which would make it easier to use (tintwizard is a good example)...

Also being a german speaker if the translation project ever gets started back up you could help by translating. Welcome to #! and I'm glad you enjoy it big_smile

Re: CBL totally pwnz !!!

you can use google translate but the results are usually subpar, the technology still can't match a human translator...for proof just look at http://translationparty.com/ (fun time waster too)
