Hello

Just today I installed #! on my five year old Sony Vaio because it was getting slow running LMDE. I've been a fan of Debian ever since I've switched from Windows years ago. Started off with plain Debian, switched to Ubuntu when that came out and then to Mint LMDE when Ubuntu stated using Unity. So I've been using Gnome since prety much forever, which means I need to get used to OpenBox a little bit, but I'm impressed by the speed and ease of use, so I think I'm gonna stay with crunchbang.

You will find a lot of differences using Openbox, but there is plenty of Help&Support here, and good starting points are

Interesting when I was using Ubuntu I updated to v8.10 and my P-III started slowing down bad ... someone mentioned trying OpenBox and that once I tried a *Box there would be no going back. He was right.

Came to #! in 2009 when it was an Ubuntu based OpenBox distro.  Still here because this is the best OB experience going I think and the people here ... well you'll find out.
