lightweight CrunchBang for seedbox

I'm using an old HP laptop running Crunchbang as a seedbox, my biggest problem is that it is running very hot and is filled with stuff i don't strictly need.

Does anyone have a list of packages i can safely remove without bricking it, or maybe a homemade lightweight .iso that cuts away most of the programs that Crunchbang is shipped with?

i looked at a couple of #! Lite threads but i couldn't find anything.

That would be a Debian minimal netinstall. If you really want #! without any additional bloat, that would be my choice.
