I've seen a few Conky setups like that. The desktop image has been thrown around a lot, I've seen it in multiple places.
With some minor editing to the one posted by Hanna in the Conky thread, you can make it look just like that.

To edit Conky, right click on your desktop, or on the workspaces at the top, and go to System > Conky > Edit .Conkyrc

I was just refrerring in regards to the exec command which could be used to get rce. You can conceal it quite well within a conky script.
I dont really think its good enought to be documented much but I just found it interesting
