Wifi connection lost after apt-get upgrade

I did a sudo apt-get update followed by a sudo apt-get upgrade and waited to reboot. Wifi worked fine before the reboot, but now the network manager doesn't even display an option to enable wireless. I had previously installed some drivers to get my internal wireless card to work, so I'm not sure if it has something to do with that. I don't remember what exactly I installed. I'm not as Linux-savvy as I wish I was. I am connected through ethernet now, which works fine. Here's some info to help y'all out:

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite C55-A510
Version: Debian 7.5 Wheezy (I don't know the #! version)
Kernel: 3.2.0-4-686-pae

lspci:

01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR8162 Fast Ethernet (rev 10)
02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Device 8179 (rev 01)

iwconfig:

lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.

would be really important to know.
the you'd probably just have to do it again.
in case you really don't remember or can't find it anymore, there's a sticky thread for what output to post in case of wireless problems.

Re: Wifi connection lost after apt-get upgrade

You should probably also post the contents of /etc/apt/sources.list (& any other sources.list.d content) and /etc/apt/preferences, just in case...
