modifying obmenu to display the launcher tab

Hi in this video it shows how to add a program to your ob menu which you have to do manually.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnu1P3z5viI

The video however shows a launcher tab in the properties of programs stored in the usr/shared/applications/ directory.

However programs in other directories like firefox which I just downloaded and doesn't need to be installed is in my file:///home/josh/downloads/firefox/firefox directory.

where do I need to move it or what do I need to do for it to show me the command I need to put in the execute part of my obmenu web browser entry for firefox to run?

Re: modifying obmenu to display the launcher tab

A Forums search (icon top right of page) would show you this: Configuring Openbox menu

With the GUI editor, add a new item and put the path to the executable as the command. So your firefox command would be

~/downloads/firefox/.../name-of-firefox-executable

Try it in a terminal first to see if it works. If there is a problem there is usually some output to say what the error is
