Video Card Suggestion

Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a new Video card. Want to play some Steam games. Was looking for the 1g-2g range. Was hopeing the gang had suggestions on cards that work well under #!/debian. I prefer off brands also...I don't have $200+ to slap down on a card.

Thanks

Kindest Regards,

Re: Video Card Suggestion

AMD or Nvidia?

If you want AMD, look for a 7850
if you want Nvidia, Try to look for a GTX 660 at a good price. ( I've seen them <$200 )

Re: Video Card Suggestion

The NVidia GTX 750 ti just got released and runs around $150. I don't recommend ATI cards for gaming in Linux, and I wouldn't advise that you skimp on video cards if you want to be able to play games.

Re: Video Card Suggestion

If you ever want to do 3D graphics work, then nVidia is the one for GPU processing (CUDA enabled)
