I'm new here, just installed #! a few minutes ago: all went smoothly, so for now I'm pretty pleased with it. I especially like its aesthetics (one of the reasons I abandonned my previous distro, Lubuntu), and I also wanted to try a Debian based distro for a change.
I'm not an advanced Linux user, but I'm eager to learn some new tricks, and I'm sure the #! forum will allow me just that!
Learning is allowed, so you have come to the right place, welcome and enjoy#!
#!, all else is but a shadow
Welcome to CrunchBang! I've definitely learned a lot from it, and from the forums here. Have fun!

Welcome to the show Zarath. You've chosen the right distro and definitely chosen the right forum to learn. I'm also new and I have learnt a huge amount from the great Crunchbanging community. I found this "things to do after installing..." site really helpful in getting my head around Crunchbang. http://debianhelp.wordpress.com/2012/10 … wheezy-os/. The firewall set up is a bit vicious so I suggest the default values as good starting point. Remember to backup any scripts before you work on them. I hope this helps. Have fun !
