Return of the ...

One guy who forgot his password, tried to recover it, only to discover that the mail account liked to his old crunchbang account was his long gone hotmail account

I was, or I am this guy: Superchompu

I have to say that, almost an hour ago, I downloaded waldorf, put it in a usb, and install it in my netbook that previously had statler, and WOW, it is freaking beautiful and fast!!!

Also I didn't had to look for the drivers of my wifi, waldorf is a batteries included OS!!

I didn't think I would say this, but I'm loving it even more than statler!

That was my feeling when I first installed Waldorf as well.  Welcome to the community!

Regarding your lost password...I recommend installing KeePassX (in the repos) and use it for password management.  It's cross-platform so you can use it in Linux, Windows, and OS X.

Welcome back into the community jsedano ( Superchompu).
I write my passwords into a smal notebook, otherwise when I re install on different machines, I wouldn't be able to remember all of mine.
