another linux noob

That's right, another one.
I know there are distros out there that are more forgiving, but I wasn't learning anything. This one has made me question enough things without making me into a luddite wink

Looking foward to learning more.

Re: another linux noob

Thanks people smile

Happy to report no hardware issues on the Toshiba Satellite I've installed this on.
I managed to break Openbox a couple times and have decided to run any future "experiments" on a live usb. Thankfully Crunchbang has enough built in functionality to carry my noob ass while I learn how to work everything else.

Also, Thanks for the reading list, fatmac. No doubt I'll be reading a lot in the days ahead  wink

Re: another linux noob

+1 for the Debian Administrator's Handbook.  Welcome to the distro and the community.  I would also suggest a subscription to Linux Format; www.linuxformat.com.
