My first flavor...

Hello fellow #! users.

Aside from a few college projects, I decided to take the Linux plunge on my own, late last year and I love the lightweight/functional idea behind CrunchBang.  I feel I have become too GUI-dependent and really want to break away from that and pickup some command-line capability.  I have been using Statler for a few months now - learning & screwing up things & learning some more.  I plan to install Waldorf in the very near future as my understanding is Steam has a better chance of working in that ver.  I expect to have a few wireless connection issues, but I'm just getting to the heart of the matter with what may be NIC compatibility.  I imagine I will be hitting those threads again soon...  and now, as a humble new member of your community.  Some of you have already helped me a great deal and it's my pleasure to make your acquaintance and say thanks.

Re: My first flavor...

Thanks everyone...  I appreciate the warm welcome.  And thanks for the great links, fatmac - the first one is exactly what I've been looking for.  I also forgot to mention the gratitude I have for corenominal's hard work - although I get the feeling I may be too green to realize its entirety...   for now.
