Hello all,

I am looking forward to joining the #! community!

I have always run Windows on my home PC, only using Linux at work. I found #! and it came with all the tools I would need to hit the ground running with Linux on my desktop.

I am running:

Intel i7 3.2GHz
24 GB RAM
Geforce 560 Ti
2TB HDD

Although I am having issues with my initial install I am still happy to be here smile

Awesome!

I am getting stuck at my initial boot screen.

I first see a bunch of "platform microcode: firmware: agent aborted loading intel-ucode/06-1a-05"

then it hangs on "waiting for/dev to be fully populated".

any ideas?

I'm not familiar with that type of thing, but if you start a thread in one of the support sections, someone should come around to try and assist you.

Welcome arty. Looks like the image is missing some crucial piece of firmware for your PC, or you might have a misburn. Try and burn the DVD again and check the md5 sum.
