Hi all,
I'm trying to install aMSN with Synaptic however I keep recieving broken packages error.
I try the fix broken packages error but I get:
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
E: Unable to correct dependenciesThis is a clean install of 64-bit Waldolf.
The only thing I've done since install is edit the source.list so I was able to download aMSN as It couldn't find it without editing that file.
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian squeeze mainThat's All I've done since install.
Any help?
I've tried running apt-get update/upgrade/autoclean/install -f.
Thanks, J.

You should enable SID (unstable) instead of squeeze to get amsn, which is only available in squeeze or unstable
Waldorf sources are a lot closer to the unstable dependencies than going backwards to squeeze

Wonderful, I was unaware that I could use SID in my sources list.
Worked straight away.
Thank you.

Don't forget to pin; if you look up {apt pinning} using the forum search feature, you should be able to find at least a couple threads that will help keep you from borking your system.
