Set Time

I'm running the live DVD for testing. I like CB, but I can't figure out how to set my local time. Any help?

Re: Set Time

Hello dave.
I'm assuming that your crunchbang is not connected to the internet.  Usually the package ntpd updates your clock from network time servers.
So you could use the date command eg:

sudo date 021200402013

or:

sudo date --set="february 12 2013 00:40"

warning if you set the time into the future it can make the screensaver come on!

Re: Set Time

I'm fairly certain the Live ISO reads your BIOS clock and assumes it is set to UTC.  `tzselect` in a terminal should let you set your time zone for the current session, but you'll need to reset it every time you restart the Live system.

Yes; as a matter of fact, I am a cop.  Why do you ask? cool
