starting programs on the desktop..?

Hello all..

Perhaps this question is already answered in this forum..
But now I have to make use of the Run Program and then typing f.e. icedove to run the mailprogram
It would be nice if I can start directly from the desktop, through an icon.
Is that possible?

Please drop me a line.. you can also send me an email: hansstam@kpnplanet.nl

Re: starting programs on the desktop..?

If you only need a few simple shortcuts, tint2 has an in-built application launcher (it needs to be enabled in the config file).

Thanks for all the help here. I just started using this excellent distro, works fine, fast on my Compaq mini netbook.
Have tried so many distros, but this one is one of the best..
