Hello all, I think I'm finally home...
Since one of my computers is a Pentium 3 933Mhz, I needed a light and fast distro.
I tried the ...buntus, Mint, then came across Archbang. I kept it for a while, gained confidence and then went for Arch. All went well until I got caught up with the upgrades. It went a little too fast for me and my technical skills (even if I consider myself an experienced newbie...), so I got left behind real quick. Time to continue my quest...
I installed Statler on my P3 and everything went well, it's alive! And the configuration was easy since I was used to Openbox. On my Dual core, I went for Waldorf. Easy installation once again!
These days, I'm really into stock market analysis and backtesting. Still hoping to find the Holy Grail...
I'm using QtStalker for this : great software but not easy to install. I succeeded on Statler but not on Waldorf. But that's another story, continued in the Help section.
So, thanks in advance for your patience and your knowledge, I'm sure I will learn a lot here.
Looking forward to contribute,
Philippe
Merci
