eee-control and Adam's kernel: conflict!

I'm now running eee-control 0.9.3 on my Asus 1002HA with #! 9.04.1

Everything is working very smoothly if I boot with kernel 2.6.28-11-generic.
If I load the kernel 2.6.28-12-netbook-eeepc, during boot appear the message "asus_eee module is loaded. This conflict with eee-control-daemon." and naturally later if I try to start the applet from the tray  an obvious "error while communicating with eee-control-daemon. Make sure its' running" appear.

I would like to work with Adam's kernel, due to quicker boot time!
Could you please help me with a step-by-step procedure (noob proof) :-) to debug this?

Thank you so  much.

Uninstall eee-control and use eee-applet instead?

Thanks, but as far as I can see, eee-applet do not allow for touchpad disabling. For me is important!
