I found some different contradicting information,
and I feel I need to add some extra repositories.
Anyone here that knows the *right* way for installing php5 and maybe apache ?
I only need it for educational (and local) development.
some more searching and I found out I only need the latest php5.4 and I'm good.
so after I did :-$ apt-cache policy php5
I figured I only needed that package to begin with...

php5 is in the repository, as is apache.

thats a good idea actually, when I start a fresh install I believe I'll keep it clinically clean and skip those steps.
to forget about it and manually install it 2/3 weeks later...
cheers I'll have another look at that welcome script
