No, no, I'm just considering my further options. It seems Debian will implement systemd properly (and get gstreamer-vaapi, and other stuff) in 2020, so when I buy an SSD for Christmas, I'm likely gonna go with Fedora, Suse, or Arch.

Yeah, the ram usage isn't fantastic, but a lot of that's just compiled bytecode that's being stored to save on resources later. It's not so bad, though I will admit that I'm not sure if the memory statistics are showing cached binary or not.
Go to Settings > Apps > Running. Then tap on the "show cached processes" thing on the top right.
See that bar/graph thing at the bottom? It's like Google, meaning it lies.
Do the math yourself by adding the ram use for the running stuff. That's your total cached.
Subtract that from what that blue bar/graph thing is telling you, and there you have how much the system uses.
Btw, you should update to 4.2.

Exactly what I don't like about Debian. I think Fedora is your best choise, if you're going for tight systemd + GNOME integration.
But you know, elementary OS just pushed Beta1 out

Most likely. If Fedora crashes too much, I'll just go back to Suse. It was my first distro, and zypper is the best package manager out there anyway.

Yours too.
Manjaro Arch running Xfce 4.10
Manjaro KDE version looks tempting. It tickels the old, deep buried fedophile in me.
[Note for self: download ISO.]
I finally got rid of Xubuntu 12.04 (after 20th boot crash in one week) and replaced it with Waldorf + XFCE.

Good old SuSE
it wasn't my first distro but it was the first that moved me to Linux on a more permanent basis. At the time it alleviated some of the RPM hell I experienced with Mandrake. Thank goodness that RPM finally got its act together. It was horrible in its day.

NOW he's cussin'!
"Arch" user have a problem saying "Manjaro Arch" in one sentence
"Debian" users have a problem saying "CrunchBang Debian" in the same paragraph.
Manjaro and CrunchBang users don't have a problem at all
