the Crunchbang Forum font? That is almost certainly Trebuche...
Thanks hhh! Yes the forum font.
Somehow I saw your message after rkwurth's one although you posted earlier. You guys are so helpful the forums system has difficulties to manage the messages
Will have a look!
I love #! more than my own kids. I told them and they sympathized.

@kiiroitori- Hey, thanks. It's just the default font for this page using Google Chrome on Crunchbang (the 101512 iso). The same page is rendered differently in iceweasel and chrome, and I'm not sure why.
You mean the fonts? Iceweasel is probably set to apply the system fonts to all the pages, and Chrome doesn't do that. Some sites render fonts via an external engine, and this forum used to default to the system sans-serif.
The forum font isn't Trebuchet, Trebuchet has a rounded 3, not one with a flat top. I have no idea what the font is, papanom will have to speak up. It may be Aller.

Good eye! Right you are, the site's font style sheet says it's PT Sans...

It's not a bad font, but it doesn't hold a candle to Nimbus Sans. It's a shame the new forum doesn't honor user defined fonts like the old one did.

New Achievement Unlocked!
I wrote this script to give herbstluftwm some of the functions of a dynamic tiling window manger, and I kept adding functionality, and then I wanted to share it, so I had to document it, and then it was really long. So, I made this goal of fitting it all into a single 768 screen of pixelsize=5 font without any line exceeding 80 characters or being totally obfuscated in some other way (cheating on indentation, denying a newline to closing braces, etc), and I wanted all the actual lines of code (minus comments and blank lines) to fit on the same screen in pixelsize=11 font.
Anyway, I rewrote half of it and did get it down, but then I went on to try and get the whole thing (with comments) to fit on the screen with pixelsize=7 font. I did it. Yay!

It occurs to me that nobody will care. crap.

Oddly enough, when I viewed the PT Sans page with IE8 at work, it was displayed in Arial.
(The CrunchBang forums are displayed properly in PT Sans, but there are other aspects of the formatting that are quite...off.)

el_koraco is right! Nimbus Sans is a very nice font. So nice I switched to it (but for the openbox menu). Thanks guys for our earlier discussion, quite a lot of info came out of it!

I haven't posted anything in ages, mainly because not much changed over time.
Here is the current setup, one clean with all panels and docks hiden (because of small netbook screen) and one dirty.
This is still my original Statler installation and still running strong on my netbook which I always have with me (hence the maps and stuff)

And say, where is all your angst about anti-aliasing and transparency these days anyway?

I never had a problem with antialiasing. My urxvt's background is #EEEEEE

Ah, that. Doesn't bother me, it's very web-like. Probably because of the little arrows on pop-ups.
