Giving #! a try ...

I'm a long-time Arch Linux user but like to keep an eye on up-and-coming distros. I've always liked Debian, so I was glad to find a speedy distro based on Debian. CrunchBang is very well thought-out. Though it's lean, nearly every option I've wanted to tweak has been anticipated.

BTW, I'm running the 15oct12 release of Waldorf.

Installation was a breeze, maybe finished faster than any distro I've tried previously.

I'm currently on a system that boots Arch Linux via UEFI but #! via BIOS. When I have time, I'd like to set up #! to boot via UEFI. While it's not a high priority, if the dev(s) want(s) to release a UEFI-aware, UEFI-bootable installation CD/DVD, that would be nice. I know the whole question of UEFI is somewhat controversial, but an awful lot of new machines are set up for UEFI, and it does boot faster than BIOS, at least in my experience. I also prefer GPT formatting.

Welcome to #!  smile

Yeah, lot of stuff still to be tested/proven with the whole Secure Boot nonsense. For me, it's going to have to wait until I buy a new machine.
