Can 802.11n be used for 802.11b or 802.11g? I think they can, but want to be sure before
I buy a 802.11n wireless card.

Look at the exact specifications for the device you are considering; they should tell you. For example, here are the specifications for an 802.11n card. You can see that the specifications clearly say the card works for all three network types.
If you do a google search on this question you will many answers. Here is one.
