Volume notifier problem

Hello!

   Our new ''Waldorf'' has one very annoying feature. Then you try to change volume from the top panel, right on it pops up some black ''volume notifier''. In my opinion this is completely useless and very annoying feature. Does anybody knows how to turn it off? Thanks for help.
