(SOLVED) not recognizing my cd drive ?

hello when i put a cd in my laptop i cannot see it in file manager and i know my laptop is ok as when i was using Peppermint O/S i had no problems with cd drive,any ideas how i can get it to work please ?

it is ok i installed Clementine and all ok.
