Dear #! community,
After 3 years with my Asuseee 1005HA running XP I thought it was time to move away and become a confessed linux fan.
I already worked with several *nix distros since my PhD times (Irix, RH, Mandrake, Mandriva, CentOS, ScientificLinux, Ubunto, Xubunto, ... and so on) that sometimes I get lost. The purpose in this case is to put my personal net-book running smoothly (everyone wants this!) with a set of applications needed to be able to either test/learn locally or just use it as a client to access bigger servers/services. Office, sys admin, grid, VM's (cloud), and having fun, are my priorities.
I'm tempted to give a try on #! and see how it goes.
The forum is a good way for me to assess how this community is active ... so let's see.
I am particularly interested to understand how big is the eee community here and if there's major tweeks needed to be done in order for these netbooks to nicely fir in this distro.
Nice to meet you all.
Cheers,
N.

Eees run like a charm on Linux these days, there's rarely anything to fix.

... and in 8 hours I got 2 replies.
Seems promising!
So eee fits well with this distro.
That is what I wanted to (re)check.
Verdict: going to install it and see how it goes.
Thank you.
Cheers,
